Ive been looking aroung and found that blogspot lets u change ur layout as often as u like and there r tons of free layouts just like for myspace. Wow so much has been going on! I dont even know where to start. Ok lets start with the kids. Robyn has been very sick for 8 days now. 102+ fevers, barely able to stay awake long enough to eat, rash on her face. It hasnt been fun. Took her to the hosp on Monday and they ran some blood tests and did a chest xray which were all good. So they sent us home thinking it was only a virus. Now keep in mind I told them she had a tick on her a few weeks ago but for whatever reason they decided not to test her for lyme. So ok since Monday the rash shows up and fever just wont quit so last nite I said enough is enough we need answers and we need them NOW so back to the hosp we went. Pat came with us because Josh and Angelinas bowling league (we’ll talk more about that in a bit) started last nite. So we get there and they check her in and the Dr was such a dick. He acted like he couldnt see a rash and like I was just a worried Mom but to humor me he finally ordered a lyme test and some other tests. In comes the nurse to do a catheter (yeah that is NOT fun on a 2 yr old) and shes like “Wow she has a rash!” um no! Ya think? So she calls the Dr out on it and he finally “sees” it. So urine test and 9 vials of blood and we wait. Urine comes back fine. Blood looks ok but the lyme takes 24 hours for the first one and then 2 WEEKS for the second. They give her a huge ass shot of antibiotics in her leg to fight off whatever it is and on our way we go with no more answers than we had when we got there. Finally this afternoon I call to get the lyme result and its POSITIVE! I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH MY KID! I mean seriously. I know my kids. So yes lyme is bad but atleast we know what she has and we can treat it. Shes on 28 days of antibiotics now and motrin for fever and muscle pain and hopefully in less than a week she will be starting to feel better. Poor baby. Now all 3 kids have had lyme. Damn ticks! Ok so now bowling! The plan was we were going to go me and Angelina as team 1 and Wayne and Josh as team 2 but since I was at the hosp they just teamed up the 3 of them. They had a blast and cant wait to go back next week! Hopefully Robyn will feel better so I can go too. They didnt really get any talking time with other kids because Wayne said it was so out of control but I still think it will be good for them and I told them if they really like it and stick with it I will buy them their own balls, bags and shoes when its over in 10 weeks! Ebay here we come LMAO! Lets see what else havent I updated on. Oh Salem and the babies. Ok this is going to be a long one. Salem was doing great with Nigel, Arthur and Felix and then all of a sudden about a week ago 2am Wayne and I wake up to Salem gasping for air. She was in respiratory distress and was basically dieing. Called T and Donna and made a quick video of Salem so they could see what was going on and theyhad me give her a couple shots of albuteral with the inhaler. It took about 2 hours but finally she was breathing better and fell asleep with her boys but we knew she was so sick she had to be separated from them so she could get antibiotics and get better. So now we had Salem away from the boys and Im sitting here trying to get them to bottle feed which just wasnt working so what do we do? Finally Wayne said ok lets try to find a Mama so we called the guy who we got Felix and Arthur from and he agreed to give us their Mama BUT we had to take her other 6 babies with her which we did. Anyway now a week later the babies r all doing GREAT and Salem is feeling much better. The new Mamas name is Angel and shes very scared but shes a really great Mama. Including Felix, Arthur and Nigel we have 7 boys and 2 girls! The plan is to keep the 3 boys and the 2 girls and find a home for the other 4 boys. *keep in mind I said “plan” which means it could change at any time lmao!* Anyway thats all the news here and Im going to eat dinner and watch Ghost Hunters I didnt get to see Wednesday! I want to fucking kill Vin right now. I think if he wasnt on the other side of the gate I probably would have. He thinks he runs the world and is so fucking smart when in reality he can barely spell a 3 letter word and cant add more than 10+10. Heres Wayne in 90 degree heat shoveling sand to level out where the pool is going to go. Naturally Vin being the asshole that he is he has to sit and get involved where he doesnt belong. Did he pay for it? Nope. Does he own the fucking houses? Nope. He owns NOTHING! Calling everyone “stupid” and “why r u all so fucking dumb” and “I have to teach u everything” blah blah blah screaming like a fucking lunatic. Finally I had enough and I totally went off on the fucker. Ive had it. Im taking the pool back and not even setting it up. Ill take the kids to the fucking ocean 7 days a week just so I dont have to be near that piece of shit asshole. Honestly I think if he comes near me right now Ill be in jail. Now I know why my Grandmother stayed as far away from him as she could. Kinda hard for me when he lives nextdoor.
A/C, sand, pools, Georgia, birthdays – blah blah blah June 11, 2008
Wow I dont know about everyone else but the heat these past few days has been killing me! My body isnt built for this shit! Im a Connecticut Yankee born and raised. I dont do 95+ temps hey! So the day before yesterday Wayne went hunting for an a/c. 12 years weve lived in this house without an a/c and I aint doing it anymore! So he went to Walmart but all they had were 5050btu ones hardly big enough to cool my bathroom never mind the entire downstairs! He brought it home anyway and we put it in the living room but while it did cool it down a little it just didnt do the trick. Yesterday I started calling around and found a 12000btu one so I went and got that and OMG what a difference! I actually had to turn it OFF last nite at one point! So the little 5050btu one is going to go upstairs in the hall so maybe it will help keep it cooler up there and keep this cool air from being wasted by going up there. We r all just sleeping downstairs for now its so hot up there. I just cant imagine the kids sleeping up there. Atleast its cooler in here and I dont have to worry about the kids and dogs and other critters having heat strokes! Thats what I was really afraid of. I was sick feeling myself and barely ate for two days and the kids get even sicker than I do when its hot. When Josh was a baby we used to have to go to our bookstore with him to cool off because he would throw up. So yeah this is much nicer now thats for sure! Last week we went and got one of those 4 foot x 15 foot metal pools from Walmart. We used to have one a little bigger when I was a kid but living on the pond really we didnt need it when I grew up. Now though with the kids and with the pond as nasty as its been lately we really needed something bigger than the 2 foot blow up one weve had for the past few summers lol. So we got the thing home and then we had to order sand to put under it because the ground isnt level at all and the yard has so many rocks. Well the sand finally came yesterday morning but it was so damn hot no one wanted to work on the pool. Hopefully tonite Wayne can atleast get the sand moved to where it has to go so we can have it up and filled by the weekend when mom comes home from Georgia. She left this morning for a work trip and comes back late Friday nite so the kids wont see her till Saturday. Well Im officially another year older BUT Im still not as old as Wayne LOL! Speaking of Wayne I almost killed him yesterday! He went and got strawberries so I could make shortcake for my bday. Well when I started cutting them they were so rotten there were fruit flies coming out of them! OMG I was so pissed. $15 worth of berries in the trash can. Atleast I got my tattoo though so that makes up for it lol and Pat stopped and got an emergency cake at BigY which was actually a decent cake for a change! Mom got me this really nice grave rubbing (rubbing not robbing people! RUBBING!) kit which is cool and Im definitely taking it with me to Salem next time I go and T ordered me the Ghost Hunters book Ive been searching for and it actually came BEFORE my bday! 5 years weve known each other and this is the first time either of us has gotten a gift on time LMAO! Of course she forgot to tell me happy bday yesterday till like 3pm so I have to kick her ass for that but the book helped ease the pain LOL! Well thats about it! Im off to bask in my a/c and I think the kids and I r gonna make some frozen dog treats today! Until next time!

So yeah ok it was an interesting day. As most people know T and I have a Yahoo group for people who own small/exotic animals. There r only a handful of members and we r all pretty close and the group has been around for over a year. We all pretty much talk on the phone and all that and most of us have known each other for years. Well we had these two girls in there. One has been in for awhile and the other is pretty new. Today shit hit the fan. All of the members have expressed concerns about these two girls and their animal ethics over the past few days and even weeks. Long story short there were a lot of questions/issues and there just was no way to deal with these issues in a way that would make everyone happy other than removing these two people from the group. Do I enjoy kicking people out? No believe it or not I dont. But T and I discussed it and neither of us want to relive the dramas of the past so we felt it had to be done and so we did it. She was at work so I did it and I ended up taking the blame not by any fault of T’s but because these two girls apparently feel they need to lash out at someone and Im that someone. Ive offered to help them with their animal care in the future if they need it. I dont hate either of them. Really I dont. But I had to act as an owner and do what the group needed me to do. They apparently dont understand that and I really do feel for them. Honestly I do. They need to realize though that I have to do what I have to do. That said Im not answering anymore of their emails. I just cant keep going around and around with them like this. If they want help in the future I will be glad to help them but I just cant keep banging my head against the brick wall they r putting up. And for the record if either of u r reading this Im not doing this as an attack. Im doing it for my own venting/sanity and I hope u believe that. I truly do wish u both the best of luck.

So ok Im going to try going about this in the nicest way possible and without mentioning any names. Its not going to be easy but here we go kiddies and enjoy the ride! WTF is up with people who feel that just because someone they know has something they have to have the same thing? I mean really. Ive known people who really didnt want a new car until their friend got one and then they had to rush out and get one bigger and better than the one their friend just got. They dont think about the fact that they really cant afford the new car or need the new car. All they think about is how they can 1-up their friend. Or a new bird. Friend gets a new bird and BAM u have to go get a new bird. U have no room for a new bird and u really dont have the money for vet care for a new bird and have no idea how to care properly for this bird but because someone u know got one then u have to get one too. I just dont get it! I mean Im all for trying new things and sure sometimes u have to get the idea/inspiration somewhere but people please think long and hard before just jumping into shit! It isnt fair to the finance company who gave u that new car only to find out u cant afford it or to that bird u promised to give a good home to for u to decide ur “allergic” or “its mean” or u “dont have time for it” or “vet care costs a fortune” blah blah blah. There r enough cars in repo and enough birds in shelters already. Enough said!
Arthur has EYES! June 8, 2008
OMG! I went and checked on the boys and all of a sudden Arthur comes racing out of the house and is LOOKING at me! I almost crapped my pants LMAO! He has the littlest black eyes I have ever seen but really for day 1 they r open quite wide! I kissed his little belly and he actually looked at me. How freakin cute is that hey?! Felix looks like his might open tomorrow. I see maybe teenie slits starting. Nigel I dont see anything yet and hes 2 days older! I expected his to be open first but nope. Hopefully soon! Ill take some pics later when I clean Salems cage!

Ok now that we have that out of the way LOL Wayne has known Ive wanted to have a tattoo for a long time. I wanted a hummingbird because it was my grandmothers favorite bird and mine as well and the kids initials (RO = Robyn (yes she gets two letters just to make it look better LOL) J = Joshua A= Angelina) which is also the name of my business. Ive debated for years and just never want to spend the money. Well Wayne decided he wanted to go find out how much his tattoo (also ROJA with a guitar) would cost so we went to the tattoo place Flats in Groton, CT where I had my piercings done to get a quote. Well about 20 mins later I was sitting in the chair having my tattoo done for my bday LOL! No one in the family other than Lettie knows yet so Im just waiting for the screaming LMAO! Anyway heres a pic! Its on the back of my neck and even though the pic looks crooked its actually straight. Its just the way I was standing!

Update on Salem and the babies June 5, 2008
*Let me remind those of u who r haters once again to please keep ur opinions to urselves*
Well a lot has changed in the few days since I last updated on Salem and her babies. The day before yesterday we ended up losing Isabel. She was such a fighter and tried so hard to make it but unfortunately she just couldnt fight any longer and had to cross the bridge with her sisters. Salem was very upset and wouldnt put little Nigel down. She was just walking around in circles carrying him and was so depressed and sad looking. So Wayne and I decided since hes her last baby left he needed a brother or two! We called a place in Warwick that breeds ratties and they had 8 day old babies and agreed to let us take 2 boys for Salem to have as new new sons and for Nigel to have as brothers! They r only two days younger than he is which is perfect and so far they r getting along wonderfully! Salem took to them instantly and is doing such a great job with them and with Nigel. Shes not nearly as depressed as she was and shes totally taken them in as if they r her own babies but really how could she resist? They r so damn cute! Arthur is a black and white hooded and Felix is either a PEW or a Himi. We arent sure yet. His Mama was a Himi but he looks more PEW so we will just have to wait a few weeks till his color comes in! Ill post pics of them soon so everyone can see!
